This feeling stabs and tortures me,
Into oblivion and yore.
Sweet nothingness is no more there
In sleep, in dreams, nor anything more.
Nay, it is a subtle thing,
That grinds its way on through the dark.
Devouring hope and passion. Quells
The love that’s there, steals the spark.
So deep in me, a black hole lies,
Feeds on everything in sight.
I don’t know how, I don’t know why.
It steals away song and flight.
This feeling is confusion. Why
Do I always have to choose?
On either side is hope and trust,
Now one side I’m about to lose...
